Introduction

DDC Snowflakes Winters ("the App") provides a falling snowflakes animation service — including customizable snow size, speed, and amount controls — to merchants who use Shopify to power their stores ("the Service"). This Privacy Policy describes how personal information is collected, used, and shared when you install or use the App in connection with your Shopify-supported store.

Personal Information the App Collects

When you install the App, we are automatically able to access the following types of information from your Shopify account:

• Store information (store name, domain, and Shopify admin settings)
• Theme data (to inject the snowflake animation script into your storefront)
• Online store navigation and page structure (to render the animation correctly)

Additionally, we collect the following types of personal information directly from you after installation:

• Your name, email address, and billing information to manage your subscription
• Snowflake configuration preferences such as snow size, speed, and amount settings
• Any messages you send us via live chat or email support

We collect personal information directly from you and through your Shopify account, as well as using the following technologies: "Cookies" are data files placed on your device that maintain session state and App preferences. "Log files" track actions occurring on the App and collect data including your IP address, browser type, internet service provider, and date/time stamps. "Web beacons," "tags," and "pixels" are electronic files used to record information about how you interact with the App's dashboard.

How Do We Use Your Personal Information?

We use the personal information we collect to provide the Service and operate the App. Specifically, we use this information to:

• Render the falling snowflakes animation on your storefront
• Apply your custom snow size, speed, and amount preferences
• Enable and disable the snowfall effect based on your settings
• Communicate with you about your account and the Service
• Provide customer support
• Improve and optimise the App

Sharing Your Personal Information

We share your personal information only with the third parties necessary to provide the Service:

• Shopify Inc. as required to read and process your store and theme data
• Cloud infrastructure providers used to store your App configuration and settings
• Payment processors to handle subscription billing

Data Retention

We retain your snowflake configuration and account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you uninstall the App, you may request deletion of your personal data by contacting us. Data required for legal or regulatory compliance may be retained for the period mandated by applicable law.

If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us through the contact information below. Additionally, please note that your information may be transferred outside of Europe, including to India, in order to provide the Service.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons.
